Philadelphia, PA – September 12, 2014 – The National Association of Asian American Professionals, Philadelphia Chapter (NAAAP Philadelphia) is proud to be awarded the ‘Chapter of the Year’ award at the NAAAP National Convention in Anaheim.
NAAAP Philadelphia was selected out of 28 chapters for its achievements in a number of areas including:
- Hosted the first ever Northeast Leadership Convention, drawing over 20 companies, six chapters, and 230 attendees
- Created an active and robust collegiate chapter in its 4th year with two more chapters launching in 2015
- Launched Women in NAAAP! (WIN) program events that thrived in its first year
- Expanded a strong Employee Resource Group (ERG) network with over 26 companies actively engaged
“This award is the result of the dedication and support we have received from our leaders and members during the past ten years,” said Lori Chen, President, NAAAP Philadelphia.
“NAAAP Philadelphia aims to promote the career advancement and leadership development of Asian American professionals in all fields. The chapter just celebrated its 10-year anniversary during the Northeast Leadership Convention in July.
“We are so excited to be recognized for our efforts to build community and camaraderie in the Asian professional network. We welcome all Asian professionals to join us at our upcoming events, participate at our ongoing program, and step into leadership positions to continue to move the chapter and community forward,” concluded Ms. Chen.
